Hatch Volunteers

Thanks for your interest in volunteering at Hatch Conference. This year we are looking for 12 people to join. While there is no seniority requirement, we would give the spots to people with design background (or studying design), as we feel the arrangement would make most sense to them.

After that, we’ll contact you with an answer and an agreement to sign, and you’ll be set. Please know that to volunteer you are required to be in Berlin from October 4th 8:30 AM until October 6th 10:30 PM. Do not apply if this conflicts with your schedule.

There is time until July 31st to apply.

Volunteering Options

As the conference takes place during 3 days, and each day has different requirements, we’ve divided the volunteering changes in 4 modules. You will be able to select 1st and 2nd preference, and we’ll build the list balancing your availability / our requirements.

**Module 1
(2 available)**	2 hours remote planning call	Assist Brad Frost in his workshop from 10:00-18:00. Requires being on location from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm	Assist on the preparation of the dinner and buildup for the next day from 13:00 to 19:00	No work, come as an attendee
**Module 2
(3 available)**	2 hours remote planning call	Help out in one of the mixers organised after-office in different parts of Berlin (18:00 - 22:00)	Assist on the preparation of the dinner and buildup for the next day from 13:00 to 19:00	Help at the door 8:30-10:00 and then enjoy the conference as attendee.
**Module 3
(3 available)**	2 hours remote planning call	-	-	Help in one of the stages all day, which means you’ll be able to watch the talks while you work. Requires arriving 8:30 at venue.
**Module 4
(2 available)**	2 hours remote planning call	Help out in one of the mixers organised after-office in different parts of Berlin (18:00 - 22:00)	-	Work 1/2 day helping people find their way and giving information, and get the other half off to enjoy the conference. Requires arriving 8:30 in venue.

Special Roles

We are also looking for two special roles for Oct 6th:

Social Media Administrator: If you are an expert on creating buzz and handling Instagram / Twitter, contact us! We are looking for someone who attends the conference and can capture its best moments in real time to share with our community
Online Conference Moderator: We want to keep the chat in our Online Conference safe, and our attendees supported. If this is something you’ve done before, talk to us! You can join onsite and help moderate the chat in our online version while watching the conference onsite.

Which types of tasks will you do?

Your tasks will be set beforehand, and some might be assigned on site. In general volunteers on duty will take care of:

Welcoming attendees and checking them in
Giving information to attendees or speakers
Guiding speakers / sponsors around the venue
Setting up indoor and outdoor areas
